Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Kambhampati Hari Babu will unfurl the National Flag at the state-level function on the occasion of Republic Day in Bhubaneswar on January 26.
This was mentioned in a notification issued by the state government on Tuesday. The notification mentioned the names of the dignitaries who would unfurl the Tricolour at different places across the state.
As per the government’s programme, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will attend an official function at Cuttack and unfurl the Tricolour on the Republic Day. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singhdeo and Pravati Parida have been assigned the responsibility to unfurl the National Flag at the functions in Puri and Khurda respectively.
Similarly, the ministers of the state Cabinet will attend Republic Day functions as chief guests at the district headquarters. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari will attend the programme in Sundargarh, Rabi Narayan Nayak in Sonepur, Nityanand Giond in Koraput, Krushna Chandra Patra in Jagatsinghpur, Prithviraj harichandan in Jajpur, Mukesh Mahaling in Rayagada, Bibhuti Bhusan Jena in Gajapati, Krushna Chandra Mohapatra in Balasore, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia in Keonjhar, Suryavanshi Suraj in Nuapada, Pradip Bal Samant in Dhenkanal, Sampad Chandra Swain in Nayagarh and Gokulanand Mallik in Malkangiri.
In Kendrapada, Berhampur and Rourkela, the RDCs of respective zones have been assigned the responsibility while the collectors will unfurl the National Flag in the rest districts, the notification stated.
