Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed senior officers of the secretary rank for 10 aspirational districts.
According to a notification by the Planning and Convergence Department, the officers who will remain in charge of the 10 districts are as follows:
Satyabrata Sahu (Principal Secretary, MS&ME with additional charge of School & Mass Education): Kalahandi.
Nikunja Bihari Dhal (Principal Secretary, Energy): Balangir.
Ashok Kumar Meena (Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water): Kandhamal.
Ranjana Chopra: (Principal Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare): Dhenkanal.
Bishnupada Sethi: (Principal Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management): Koraput.
Suresh Kumar Vashishth: (Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment): Rayagada.
Shubha Sarma (Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Handloom, Textiles & Handicrafts): Gajapati.
Aravind Agrawal (Director, Social Welfare, Women and Child Development and Mission Shakti with additional charge of Managing Director Mahila Vikas Samabaya Nigam): Nabarangpur.
Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav (Director, Tourism): Nuapada.
R Raghu Prasad (Commissioner-cum-Secretary- Fisheries & Animal Resources Development): Malkangiri.
The secretaries will oversee 49 key performance indicators (KPIs) across five sectors – health and nutrition, education, agriculture & water resources, financial inclusion and skill development and basic infrastructure in these districts. They will prepare action taken reports and submit them to the state-level committee for monitoring of the action plan of these districts.
