Bhubaneswar: Taking a tough view of irregularities in part plot sales in the state, the Odisha government has issued show cause notices to 300 officers associated with preparation of District Survey Report (DSR).
Sharing this information on Tuesday, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari told reporters several officers have already been arrested and put behind bars for their alleged role in these irregularities.
Based on smart surveillance conducted at DSR offices, action is being initiated to check irregularities, he said, adding that a detailed strategy is being prepared in collaboration with the Electronics and Information Technology Department to ensure greater transparency in land sales.
The Minister further stated that the state government will soon organise a workshop for officers involved in DSR preparation, following a similar workshop being conducted for Tehsildars.
