Odisha Govt Lost Over 19,000 Acres Land To Encroachers
Bhubaneswar: Revenue minister Sudam Marandi on Thursday told the State Assembly that about 19,450 acres of government land in Odisha were encroached.
Replying to a question by Congress member Tara Prasad Bahinipati during question hour, the minister said there were 6,736 acres of encroached government land in Sundargarh followed by 2,877 acres in Ganjam and 876 acres in Khurda district.
Marandi further said that there was no encroachment of government land in Nabarangpur and Boudh districts.
