Bhubaneswar: Two officers of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) were on Monday promoted to the rank of Special Secretary rank, while two others got elevated to Super Administrative Grade (SAG).
The General Administration and Public Grievance department has issued separate notifications in this regard.
“Pending finalization of the select list on the advice of the Odisha Public Service Commission, the following OAS (Superior Administrative Grade) Officers are promoted to the rank of OAS (Special Secretary) on ad hoc basis, in Level-l7 of the “Pgy Matrix” as specified in the First Schedule of the O.R.S.P. Rules, 2OI7, for a period not exceeding one year or till receipt of recommendation of OPSC or till their retirement, whichever is earlier, without prejudice to the claim of others,” said a notification.
On promotion to the Grade of OAS (SS), the Officers concerned are allowed to continue in their present place of posting, until further orders.
This promotion is subject to final orders of the Hon’ble Apex Court in SLP(C) No.35608-35610 of 2010 (Gahadu Mirdha-Vs.-State of Odisha and othersl and other related cases.
A similar notification was issued regarding the promotion of the following two OAS officers to the rank of SAG.
On promotion to the Grade of OAS (SAG), the Officers concerned are allowed to continue in their present place of posting, until further orders.
This promotion is subject to final orders of the Hon’ble No.35608-35610 o’f 2010 (Gahadu Mirdha-Vs.-State of Odisha Apex Court in SLP(C) and others) and other related cases.
