Sambalpur: The Odisha government has set up a Krushi Bhavan in Sambalpur to strengthen agricultural governance and farmer empowerment in the state.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the premises on Sunday in the presence of Odisha’s Deputy CM KV Singh Deo, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari and Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik.
Mentioning the occasion to be on ‘Shitala Shasthi’, Pradhan hoped that the state-of-the-art new building will provide a new identity to Sambalpur’s agricultural sector.
“On the sacred occasion of ‘Shitala Shasthi’, along with Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister @KVSinghDeo1, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister @sureshkpujari, State Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister @RabiNaikBJP and Sambalpur MLA @jnarayanmishra, I inaugurated the Agriculture Building in Sambalpur and visited the Murtika Building. This state-of-the-art Agriculture Building, constructed in an agriculture-dominated region, will provide a new identity to Sambalpur’s agricultural sector and will be particularly helpful in the continuous progress of our farmers.” Pradhan wrote on X and shared pictures of the inauguration.

Pradhan thanked the state government, CM Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy CM Singh Deo for setting up the Krushi Bhavan.
“It will play a key role in the development of agriculture sector in the region,” said Pradhan.
The Union Minister also praised the BJP-helmed Odisha government for various initiatives, including enhanced paddy MSP for improvement of agriculture sector in the state.
Singh Deo, who is also the Agriculture Minister, said the new Krushi Bhawan will serve as a hub for policy implementation, research, and farmer-centric initiatives under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.
“This milestone reflects our collective vision for a developed Odisha and a thriving farming community,” Singh Deo said.
