Bhubaneswar: For the first time, the Odisha government is going to conduct an entrance test for the recruitment of more than 10,000 teachers in various high schools across the state.
For the conduct of the entrance test, the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has sought permission from the School and Mass Education Department.
According to DHSE, 4445 TGTs in Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education Teacher (PET) and 6000 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) will be recruited against the vacant posts in the high schools.
The entrance exam for these teachers will be a computer-based test (CBT) and the recruitment will be done on the basis of the CBT performance.
Previously, the recruitment of the high school teachers was done on the basis of their qualifications and career marking. A private agency will be hired for the CBT.
