After reviewing the situation with Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and other senior officials, the CM stressed making testing facilities operational in South and West Odisha at the earliest, government’s Chief Spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi said.

At present, 300 samples are being tested for COVID-19 at three centres in the state every day. “The CM has directed to increase it to 1000 a day in the next five days and ready VIMSAR, Burla, and MKCG, Cuttack, with such facilities,” he said.

Bagchi further informed that 1,888 samples have so far been tested in Odisha. Among these, 39 were found to be corona positive. Bhubaneswar has reported the maximum 31 cases, he added.
