Bhubaneswar: The process of recruiting 606 teachers across 52 colleges in Odisha’s government degree colleges has begun. The recruitment will be done for 20 subjects. The Higher Education Department Deputy Secretary, Snighda Champatiray, in an official letter, urged the secretary of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to take immediate action in the matter.
OPSC secretary Satyabrat Ray said the commission will soon start the recruitment process after getting requisition from the state government. “We will invite candidates and select them by holding tests. After our process is over, we will submit a subject wise merit list to the Higher Education Department for necessary action,” he said.
Among the 606 posts, 13 posts are reserved for Scheduled Tribes, 98 for Scheduled Castes and 66 for socially and economically weak class, 24 for persons with disabilities, six for sportspersons and 18 for ex-servicemen.
