Bhubaneswar: In a bid to ensure comfortable stay of people visiting Bhubaneswar from different parts of the state, the Odisha government has decided to set up 30 guest houses in the capital city.
Disclosing this on Sunday, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari told reporters that the aim is to provide affordable accommodation to people visiting the Bhubaneswar for different purposes.
Stating that the state government will set up separate guest houses for the people of all 30 districts, he said each guest house will have 100 rooms for the people who visit the capital city to avail healthcare service or for any other work.
As a large number of people from different districts of the state travel to Bhubaneswar for various services, the high cost of hotels and other lodging options often become a major issue. In an effort to alleviate this, dedicated guest house facilities will be introduced, allowing guests to conduct their activities conveniently.
The initiative will see the creation of a total of 3,000 rooms for all 30 districts. Each guest house will bear the name of its respective district, fostering a sense of belonging and regional representation.
