Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday announced three significant initiatives for the beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana for speedy and effective empowerment of women in the state.
Announcing the move at ‘Subhadra ru Mudra’ programme during the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said that the initiatives are – ‘Shuna Subhadra’, ‘Kuha Subhadra’ and ‘Subhadra Setu’.
She said ‘Suna Subhadra’ initiative enables citizens to engage directly with the departments concerned for any required clarifications and information. Similarly, ‘Kuha Subhadra’ facilitates open communication where the department will engage with beneficiaries to understand concerns about services.
Coupled with these two initiatives, ‘Subhadra Setu’ will act as a bridge to connect beneficiaries reaching the age of 21 years.
This programme prominently aims to enhance women’s empowerment through dedicated training intended to foster self-reliance.
Stressing that Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will play major roles in women’s development, economic independence, industrial and agricultural sectors, Parida said they will develop their skills. The government intends to see Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries in rural areas to become entrepreneurs, she said.
These strategic steps underline the government’s commitment to promoting transparency, connectivity, and empowerment within the community.
The Deputy CM had earlier urged the eligible beneficiaries, who are yet to receive their first instalment amount, to visit their bank branches on January 29 and 30 to resolve NPCI issues.
