Cuttack: The regional office of Odisha Gramya Bank (OGB), Cuttack, organised a mega self-help group (SHG) credit camp at Rashmi Prava Mandap in Jagatsinghpur district.
Inaugurating the camp, NABARD Odisha head Dr. Krushna Chandra Panigrahi congratulated the SHG members. He praised OGB chairman Brundaban Nayak for his individual efforts.
Speaking on the occasion, Nayak said, “The bank’s doors are always open for SHGs. This credit facility may improve economic standards of SHGs members as well as lead to empowerment of women of the district.”
Addressing the gathering, regional manager of OGB said an amount of Rs 6.12 lakh was sanctioned to 401 SHGs in the district. It would benefit more than 4,000 SHG members.
On the occasion, the guests handed over more than 100 sanction letters to SHGs. Representatives from 28 branches of OGB participated in the camp.
