Bhubaneswar: With 16 teams fighting it out at the ‘Maha Kumbh’ of hockey at Kalinga Stadium here from November 28, Street Art and Mural Project (STAMP) has taken up the colours of the flags of the participating nations to paint the boundary wall of the complex and in front of it.
Visual artist Gopal Krushna Rath is leading the initiative with his team of 30 professional artists, students and volunteers.
The profile images of all the 16 captains are also going to add to the charm of the visual treat on the walls.
“We have taken the colours of 16 flags as an element of the background colour on the boundary walls and on the opposite walls of the stadium, starting from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Kalyan Mandap and towards the entry gate of New AG Colony,” said Rath.
His team also has professional artists from New Delhi like Anjan Patra, Om Pritee and Manoj Choudhary. “The theme which is based on the colours of the flags of the playing nations is an interesting idea, as colours give momentum to every dream,” said Anjan.
