Bhubaneswar: In a bid to ensure better healthcare for the people, the state government on Tuesday signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four healthcare institutions.
All the agreements were signed in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who said that signing the MoUs with these healthcare institutions will give a boost healthcare in the state.
A MoU was inked between the state government and Kolkata-based Global Healthcare System Private Limited for setting up of 14 digital dispensaries in Nabarangpur district in the first phase. More such dispensaries would be set up in a phased manner.
Similarly, another MoU inked with Narayan Hrudalaya aims at providing treatment to children suffering from congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease.
The third MoU with Centre for Stem Cell Research (Vellore) will provide treatment of Thalasemia and sickle cell, while the fourth one signed with LV Prasad Eye Institute (Bhubaneswar) would treat congenital cataract of children.
