Odisha Inverstors’ Meet: CM Naveen Patnaik To Leave For Bengaluru On 3-Day Visit
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be in Bengaluru on Wednesday to attend the last investor’s meet, ahead of the third edition of the Make in Odisha conclave to be held from later this year.
According to sources, the CM will leave for the IT capital of India on Tuesday. He will hold one-on-one interactions with potential investors and address a meeting, highlighting the investment climate and business opportunities in Odisha before returning to Bhubaneswar the next day.
The state is looking forward to attracting investments in information technology (IT), IT-enabled services (ITeS), electronics, data centre and BPO sectors with its lucrative policies and recent relaxation in lease rentals of core space in the govt-designated IT towers. While the state government in April launched the State Data Centre Policy-2022, a dedicated cluster is also being developed near Bhubaneswar to facilitate investments in the IT, ITeS and electronics sectors.
Earlier this month, the chief minister attended investors’ meets in Mumbai and interacted with industrialists like K M Birla, Anil Agarwal and Anand Mahindra, top bankers and financial wizards. On August 31, he attended the curtain-raiser of the third edition of the biennial event, in Delhi, and held discussions pertaining to investment in Odisha with envoys of different countries. This was the third investment roadshow after Dubai and Ahmedabad ahead of the mega-industry carnival from November 30 to December 4, being held after a delay of two years due to the COVID pandemic.
