Bhubaneswar: Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Susanta Kumar Nath was posted as OSD in the Home Department as Odisha government announced the transfer and new postings of several senior police officers.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, Nath, a 1993-batch IPS officer, has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the department.
The new posting for Nath comes at a time when he has been accused of sexual harassment, threat and intimidation by a former woman jailor of Choudwar circle jail.
As part of the reshuffle, 1995-batch IPS officer Santosh Bala, now Director of S.F.S.L., Odisha, Bhubaneswar, has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Addl. D.G., Prisons & Director, Correctional Services, Odisha.
Amitabh Thakur, IPS (RR 1998), who was holding additional charge of additional DG, Prisons, remains Transport Commissioner, Odisha, Kataka.

Rajesh Kumar, IPS (RR 1998), Addl. D.G. of Police, S.A.P., Odisha, Bhubaneswar, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Special Secretary, Home Department.
Sarah Sharma, IPS (RR 2010), upon repatriation from Central Deputation, has been posted as D.I.G., Vigilance.
Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, IPS (RR 2019), S.P., Jharsuguda, has been appointed as AIG, State Police Headquarters, Kataka.
Amritpal Singh, IPS (RR 2021), S.P., Nuapada, has been transferred as S.P., State Police Headquarters.
Sonali Singh Parmar, IPS (RR 2022), Addl. SP, Khordha, takes charge as S.P., Jharsuguda.
Tapan Narayana Rath, OPS (STS), AIG, State Police Headquarters, Cuttack, has been posted as S.P., Nuapada.
