Odisha MLA’s Husband Booked For Party Activist’s Murder In Ganjam
Berhampur: Two days after the brutal murder of BJD youth activist Sunil Nahak, also a history-sheeter, Kodala police in Odisha’s Ganjam district have registered a case against four persons, including party MLA Suryamani Baidya’s husband Daitari Behera.
Besides Daitari, Kumar Sahu, a BJD youth leader, Deepak Khatua and Jitendra Pradhan have been booked under Sections 341/324/294/302/323/307/120 (B)/34 of IPC on the basis of a written complaint by Manoj Pradhan of Danapur village in Ganjam district.
Nahak (38) of Baragaon village in Aska was attacked by the group, which battered his head with a stone, while he was attending a post-Ganesh Puja feast at Danapur village within Kodala police limits on Thursday night.

According to the complainant, Kumar Sahu, Deepak Khatua and Jitendra Pradhan hurled abuses at them over political rivalry between Manoj and Daitari, who is the block chairman of Khallikote. And then attacked Nahak with a crowbar, iron rod, knife and stones. He died on the spot.
Nahak was accused in over 30 criminal cases, including murders and extortion, sources said.
