Bhubaneswar: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Odisha government has issued a fresh directive on the admission of new inmates to the destitute rehabilitation centres and old age homes.
In a letter, the Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) department has asked the district collectors to ensure that no inmates are admitted to the destitute rehabilitation centres and old age homes if they have not undergone the COVID-19 test. The collectors have been asked to keep the new inmates either in the transit house or in the COVID Care Homes till their test reports are received, the letter stated.
