Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Monday announced cancellation of the written test for the Combined Recruitment Examination for various posts conducted on April 27.
The exam was cancelled by the OSSC following detection of a major goof up in the question paper. Candidates reportedly noticed that certain vital portions of the syllabus, including English, Odia literature and general knowledge (GK), were completely omitted from the question paper.
As per an official notification, the OSSC confirmed that it had received valuable feedback and suggestions from numerous candidates concerning the examination. After a thorough review of these inputs and in alignment with the guidelines stipulated under the “Combined Recruitment Examination for Different Posts with Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test, Rules, 2022,” the Commission decided to cancel the examination held on April 27.
The OSSC had earlier regretted the errors and assured the candidates that appropriate steps would be taken in this regard.
The OSSC has announced that it will conduct fresh written test for the Combined Recruitment Examination on July 6. “A fresh examination will be conducted on 06.07.2025 (July 6, 2025),” the notification said.
