Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha climbed to 6,953 on Monday with 66 more deaths being confirmed in the past 24 hours.

The list of daily fatalities includes past deaths for which an audit was done and the cause identified as COVID, the Health Department said.

Odisha has so far seen 1,051 deaths due to the disease this month.

While May reported 660 deaths, the number swelled to 1,272 in June and it rose further to 1,884 in July.

Among the new casualties, Sambalpur district saw the highest of 12 deaths, followed by 8 from Cuttack, 7 from Angul, 5 each from Balasore, and Dhenkanal, 4 each from Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh and Khurda (3 from Bhubaneswar), 2 from Kalahandi, Kendrapada and Sonepur and one each from Nayagarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, and Balangir.

The deceased were identified as:

1.A 66 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

2.A 65 years old male of Angul District.

3.A 70 years old female of Angul District.

4.A 60 years old male of Angul District.

5.A 55 years old male of Angul District.

6.A 63 years old male of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Cerebrovascular Accident.

7.A 41 years old male of Angul District.

8.A 51 years old female of Balasore District.

9.A 71 years old male of Balasore District.

10.A 70 years old female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

11.A 65 years old female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

12.A 82 years old male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

13.A 70 years old male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

14.A 65 years old female of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Hypertension & Cerebro Vascular Accident.

15.A 74 years old male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Acute Kidney Infection & Hyperkalemia.

16.A 41 years old female of Bhadrak District.

17.A 50 years old female of Baragarh District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

18.A 60 years old female of Baragarh District who was also suffering from Hypothyroidism.

19.A 55 years old male of Baragarh District.

20.A 45 years old male of Baragarh District who was also suffering from Hypoglycemia.

21.A 49 years old female of Balangir District.

22.A 89 years old male of Bhubaneswar.

23.A 70 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

24.A 60 years old female of Bhubaneswar.

25.A 47 years old male of Cuttack District.

26.A 58 years old female of Cuttack District.

27.A 87 years old female of Cuttack District.

28.A 50 years old female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Cerebro Vascular Accident

29.A 90 years old female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

30.A 67 years old female of Cuttack District.

31.A 50 years old female of Cuttack District.

32.A 90 years old female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease & Hypertension.

33.A 28 years old female of Deogarh District.

34.A 65 years old female of Dhenkanal District.

35.A 55 years old male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Chronic Liver Disease, Hepatic Encephalopathy.

36.A 90 years old female of Dhenkanal District.

37.A 26 years old male of Dhenkanal District.

38.A 39 years old male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

39.A 35 years old female of Ganjam District.

40.A 36 years old male of Ganjam District.

41.A 40 years old male of Jajpur District.

42.A 39 years old male of Jagatsinghpur District.

43.A 62 years old female of Jagatsinghpur District.

44.A 50 years old female of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

45.A 51 years old male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Cerebro Vascular Accident, Acute Kidney Infection & Chronic Kidney Disease.

46.A 40 years old male of Jharsuguda District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Obesity.

47.A 66 years old male of Kalahandi District.

48.A 82 years old female of Kalahandi District.

49.A 46 years old male of Kendrapada District.

50.A 45 years old male of Kendrapada District.

51.A 45 years old female of Khurda District.

52.A 56 years old male of Nayagarh District.

53.A 48 years old male of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

54.A 90 years old male of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Hypertension & Cerebro Vascular Accident.

55.A 63 years old male of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

56.A 70 years old female of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

58.A 46 years old male of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease & Hypertension.
