Jajpur: Politics seems to be heating up in Odisha’s Jajpur with BJP’s Arindam Ray indirectly targeting senior BJD leader and former minister Pranab Prakash Das, and stating that people of Korei are not going to be misled again by deceptive politicians.
Speaking at the Jajpur Karada Harihat Festival, actor-turned-politician Arindam Ray mounted a sharp attack on Pranab Prakash Das without naming him.
Using a film dialogue, Ray said the people of Korei applied their mind and taught a lesson to a certain politician in the 2024 elections. From now on, they will decide their own future without getting misled by leaders with evil intentions, he said.
Complimenting BJP MLA from Korei Akash Dasnayak for his performance since the party’s electoral victory in 2024, Ray said tough measures are now being taken against people involved in corrupt practices in the state.
He asserted that the people of Jajpur will continue to support Akash Dasnayak, also an actor-turned-politician, in the battle against corruption.
Stating that a particular politician was warned against fiddling with his activities, Ray said a fitting reply was given to the leader for his misdeeds.
Ray said people are very much aware of the presence of ‘Ravan-like’ elements in disguise and they are not going to fall into their trap.
