Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw 4180 more people testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, which pushed the affected tally to 1,71,341 on Friday.
According to I & PR department, 2466 have been detected in different quarantine centres while remaining 1714 are local contact cases.
Khurda again reported the highest of 688 new cases, followed by 492 from Cuttack and 166 from Sundargarh.

The remaining 337 cases are from state pool.
These fresh cases have been detected from all 30 districts of the state, where 48,146 (RT-PCR: 8407, Antigen: 39,628, Truenat: 111) samples were tested on Thursday.
In the previous three days, a little over 1.47 lakh samples were tested of which 12,156 were found to be positive.
The positivity rate in the last few days has risen to 8 per cent with 4000-plus cases being reported almost daily. Despite the rise in the positive cases, the per day testing has substantially come down compared to August-end when 50K-60K tests were being conducted.
