Odisha Reports 239 More COVID Cases, 51% From Khurda
Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained above 200 on Saturday as 239 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
These cases have been reported from 19 districts and 37 among them are in the 0-18 years age group.
While 242 new infections were detected on Friday, the state had reported 229 infections on Thursday, 226 on Wednesday, 206 on Tuesday, and 185 on Monday.
According to the I & PR department, 140 of the new cases are from quarantine and 99 local contacts. Khurda saw the highest 123 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (24) and Mayurbhanj (13). No new infections have been reported from 11 districts.

With these cases being detected from 57,295 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.41 per cent. The TPR was 0.42 per cent on Friday, 0.39 per cent on Thursday, 0.37 per cent on Wednesday, 0.41 per cent on Tuesday and 0.32 per cent on Monday.
While the COVD-19 tally in the state reached 1046798, Odisha now has 2,387 active cases.
