Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported the lowest spike of 2138 COVID-19 cases in over a month and a half on Friday.
The fall in the cases can also be attributed to the reduced samples test, which dropped below the standard 40,000 plus. The state tested 38572 samples on Thursday.
According to I & PR department, 1251 new cases have been detected from quarantine while the rest 887 are local contact cases.
These cases have been reported from all 30 districts with the highest of 361 from Khurda followed by 156 from Cuttack and 151 from Angul.

The new cases have pushed the tally to 264149. The state has now 24457 active cases.
