Odisha Reports Over 50 COVID Cases; Maximum From Khurda District
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 51 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including 6 cases in the 0-18 age group testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
While 30 cases are from quarantine, 21 cases are local contacts.

Boudh: 1
Cuttack: 3
Ganjam: 1
Jagatsinghpur: 2
Jharsuguda: 1
Khurda: 26
Nayagarh: 2
Nuapada: 1
Sambalpur: 1
Sundargarh: 2
Besides, 7 cases are from the state pool.
With 11,719 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 0.43%.
The state has 239 active cases as of Sunday.
Odisha reported 38 cases on Saturday, 25 cases on Friday and 41 cases on Thursday.
Though the state is yet to see a concerning spike, the daily numbers are slowly rising with cases being reported in two digits for the last 10 days. However, no new variant or sub-variant of SARS-CoV2 has emerged from the state. The samples sequenced recently were detected with the BA.2 variant known as Omicron.
