Odisha To Encounter Dense Fog For 2 Days; IMD Issues Yellow Warning

Bhubaneswar: Dense fog is likely to occur at some places over several districts of Odisha during the next 48 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.

It said there will be no major change in the minimum temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during next 4 to 5 days.

The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said in a bulletin that dry weather is likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha in the morning hours on Tuesday.

Issuing yellow warning, it said dense fog is likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput.

Dry weather is likely to prevail on Tuesday and Wednesday and shallow to moderate fog is may occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha in the morning hours.

The MeT Centre sounded yellow warning about dense fog in some parts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Koraput districts.
