According to the MeT office, Odisha is likely to witness an increased spell of cold weather as north and northwest India’s dry and cold winds are expected to enter the state.
The temperature will plunge by 3 to 4 degrees in the next four to five days due to clearer nights, it said.
Owing to the widespread presence of water vapour in the upper reaches of the atmosphere, the temperature during daytime in most parts of the state is also expected to be below the normal with daytime fog, it added.
