Odisha To Introduce Start Up Policy For Plus III & PG Students
Bhubaneswar: Odisha will soon introduce a start-up policy for plus III and post-graduate (PG) students, vice chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Ashoka Kumar Das informed on Tuesday.
A preliminary meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari in this regard. The executive chairman of Startup Odisha Omkar Rai and a team of Frost & Sullivan were also present in the meeting.
The startup will work on how the students can develop their idea into a business company. The projects of plus III and PG students will be showcased to companies by the State Higher Education department.
“Although our Center of Excellence is doing well as per the World Bank, it is only limited up to a particular level,” said Das.
A thorough research will be conducted regarding how to fit the commercial and global databases which will be funded by the state government.
It is pertinent to mention here that Startup Odisha is an initiative of the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department to promote ideas and innovations of budding entrepreneurs in the state and recognising them as startups.
