Bhubaneswar: Odisha government is set to launch a unique initiative to inculcate reading habits among children. ‘Mo Bahi Bagicha’ programmes for the school students soon.
After the success of pilot project in Unit-8 Boys’ High School, Bhubaneswar, it will be adopted across the state.
The students will be given a variety of books according to the choice of students and allow them to read the same, moving freely in the school garden.
The ‘Mo Bahi Bagicha’ will be organised in every school on Saturday, for which as many as two periods will be dedicated. It will be implemented from Class-I to VIII after reopening of the schools.
During the periods, teachers and interested guardians can provide attractive books including, comics, fiction, pictorials and other favourite chronicles to the students, stated sources in Elementary Education Directorate.
On the other hand, the School and Mass Education aims to rejuvenate the passiveness of students from books for the long run online teachings due to the intervention of coronavirus.
