Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said that the Odisha government will submit a detailed report to the Centre on the damage caused by the very severe cyclonic storm Titli and the subsequent flood, after a proper assessment.
“The state government is waiting for a detailed report from the collectors of the affected districts on the damage of houses, roads, power lines and standing crops which were badly affected by the severe cyclonic storm and flood. After the report is received, we will apprise the Centre of the damage,” he told mediapersons here.
Meanwhile, acting on the directive of the Chief Minister, chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi left for Gajapati district on Monday.
Briefing mediapersons at the State Secretariat here, Padhi said he will hold a meeting with the district administration and give them necessary instructions to expedite relief and rescue operations as well as restoration work.
