Odisha ULB Polls: Pahala’s Rasogola Sellers Have This Demand For The New Mayor

Bhubaneswar: Rasogolas sold from rows of makeshift stalls along the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack highway in Odisha’s Pahala draw people from all over the country. But this time Pahala’s rasogola vendors hope to draw the attention of the state capital’s new Mayor to be elected in the forthcoming polls to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to their grievances.

The vendors hope that the new Mayor will expedite the construction of a new market cluster, where they can move in.

“IDCO has provided land for a new market cluster for Pahala’s rasogola vendors. Construction work has already started. We hope the new Mayor will expedite the process and it will soon be ready,” a vendor was quoted as saying by a website.

“We will vote for a Mayor candidate who doesn’t have any record of corruption. She should look into developmental works in our area,” another vendor was quoted as saying.
