Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Sunday arrested Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) N Dillip Kumar Choudhury for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets, 199% more than his known sources of income.
One multi-storey building worth Rs 1 crore, two high-value plots worth over Rs 1.5 crore and another 11 worth around Rs 2 crore along with Rs 29.98 lakh deposits were unearthed during the raids on Saturday.
Choudhury posted as AEE, R & B Division-1, Berhampur.
Assets found includes
1- A double-storey building over 2400 sqft area at Mayuree Vihar, Berhampur, worth around Rs 1 crore.
2 – One 3-BHK flat over 1400 sqft area at Evos Exotica Apartment, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar, worth over Rs 1 crore.
3- One 2-BHK flat over 1000 sqft area at Spectrum Royale, Dharma Nagar, Berhampur, worth around Rs 50 lakhs.
4- 11 plots at Berhampur and nearby areas, worth around Rs 2 crore.
5 – Bank and Insurance deposits worth Rs 29,98,212.
6- Two two-wheelers and household articles worth over Rs 16.21 lakh.
Further verification is on to ascertain more deposits and investments, the Vigilance release added.
