Odisha Vigilance Arrests CET Assistance Professor; Details Of ‘Disproportionate Assets’ Here

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested Dr Prasana Kumar Mishra, assistant professor of Mathematics at College of Engineering and Technology (CET) in Ghatikia area here, for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

On Monday, the anti-graft officials had raided Mishra’s residence located at Khandagiribari under Khandagiri police limits, a four-storey building under construction at Khandagiribari, his village at Kalupada ghat in Khurda district, and his office room at CET and that of his wife Dr Supriya Mishra, who is a contractual lecturer of biotechnology at the institute.

Movable and immovable properties worth Rs 2.19 crore, including disproportionate assets of over Rs 1.88 crore, were detected in the name of Mishra during the search.
