Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday detected huge assets, including two buildings and nine high-value plots, during simultaneous raids at five locations linked to Kishore Kumar Sahani, Senior Assistant at City Hospital in Cuttack under the Chief District Medical Officer’s office.
Sahani is accused of misappropriating over Rs 1.24 crore of government funds and amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, Vigilance said in a statement.
He allegedly embezzled the money by non-deposit of govt money, fraudulent withdrawl of money from govt account, transfer of funds from Govt Account to personal accounts of himself and family members, and such other means.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sahani and his family members;
Residential Property:
1.Triple storeyed building measuring an area of 2500 Sq. ft. located at Jobra Nuasahi, Cuttack.
2.One building and poultry farm spanning approx. 2.5 acres located at Palasia/Padhania, Choudwar, Cuttack.
High-Value Plots:
19 high value plots including 18 plots in and around Cuttack town and one in Jatni, Khurda. (details are below);

Service Details
Sahani entered into government service as Junior Assistant on January 07, 1997 under rehabilitation scheme and posted at UGPHC, Mahanga under Family Welfare department and worked there till July 24, 2000 and transferred to MO, LEU, Banki and joined there 02.08.2000. On 16.04.2001, he was transferred to the City Hospital, Cuttack and worked there till 18.04.2016. On 01.12.2016, he was promoted to the rank Senior Assistant and joined at office of CDM & PHO, Cuttack. He has served more than two decades in City Hospital, Cuttack.
