Odisha’s Kalinga Hospital Launches ‘Golden Generation’ Helpline For Senior Citizens
Bhubaneswar: A dedicated Senior Citizen (Golden Generation) Helpline was inaugurated at Kalinga Hospital Ltd (KHL), Bhubaneswar. More than 100 senior citizens from different associations in Bhubaneswar and neighbouring areas joined the inaugural ceremony of the Helpline – 18005725000.
The event was graced by Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack , Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi as the Chief Guest. with Dr Sita Kantha Dash, Chairmain of Kalinga Hospital, Chancellor, JK University, Cuttack, Rajesh Dash, Director, Kalinga Hospital and Nilanjana Mukherjee, Managing Director, Kalinga Hospital.
Saumyendra Priyadarsi appreciated the launch of the centre providing strong support and assistance to the senior citizens. This dedicated Help desk support will be the real help for the elderly citizens of this region.
The Golden Generation Help line (Senior Citizen Help Desk) will help the elderly will be redressal of their health issues at the time of need. It will also extend emotional support, immediate possible assistance.
Along with this, Kalinga Hospital is planning to start the Oncology programme very soon, said Dr Sita Kantha Dash.
Kalinga Hospital is the first Corporate Hospital of Odisha and has been providing the advanced healthcare since more than 30 year, said Nilanjana Mukherjee. The Helpline will operate round the clock for 7 days in a week. It has been staffed with professionally trained employees, she said.
This Help-Line will provide a platform to elderly persons and address their health issues and deal with. It will also extend emotional support, immediate assistance and medical support in case of medical emergencies.
