New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: In a moment of pride for Odisha, Koraput district has been selected for the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024 under ‘Holistic Development of Districts’ category.
Taking to his X handle, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Friday congratulated Koraput Collector V Keerthi Vasan and his team for the achievement. “Congratulations to @dmkoraput and their team on being selected for the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024. Their exemplary work in holistic district development is truly commendable. May they continue to achieve bigger milestones and inspire others,” he wrote.
Deputy CM K V Singhdeo also posted a congratulatory message for the team. “This recognition is a testament to their unwavering commitment to inclusive growth, effective governance, and transformative public service. Odisha takes pride in your achievement,” he wrote.

The recognition reflects the district administration’s efforts in uplifting various sectors including health, education, infrastructure, and livelihoods, ensuring sustainable development and citizen-centric governance.
The award will be presented by the Prime Minister of India during the Civil Services Day celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on April 21. It will consist of a trophy, a scroll and an incentive of Rs 20 lakh to the awarded district to be utilised for implementation of project/programme or bridging resources gaps in any area of public welfare.
