Bhubaneswar: An assistant professor in the department of medicine at VIMSAR, Burla, Shankar Ramchandani has already won many hearts following his effort of ‘One Rupee Clinic’ for the poor people of the state.
Now, Dr Ramchandani seems to have impressed people beyond the state boundaries with his benevolent approach in a profession which is mostly used as an earning tool.
He has been invited by singing reality show Indian Idol as guest. The doctor and his wife Sikha will appear as special guests for an upcoming episode of the reality show.
“Great gift today on the 10th marriage anniversary of me as we both have been invited as special guest in Indian Idol of Sony TV,” Ramchandani wrote on his Facebook account.

Dr Ramchandani has his clinic at Kachha Market area in Burla town where he charges patients only Re one for availing treatment. He began the clinic in a rented place where the service is available from 7 am to 8 am in the morning and 6 pm to 7 pm in the evening.
