Odisha’s RSP Exports Over 34000 Tonne Of Plates In 3 Months

Rourkela: The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has exported more than 34000 tonne of plates to Asian and European countries in July, August and September. Another 1000 tonne of plates are ready for export in the current month.

The plates in mild and high tensile grades have been made in the New Plate Mill of RSP. A major chunk of the orders were for CE marked plates.

It may be mentioned that the 4.3 metre wide New Plate Mill of the RSP has got approval of DNV-GL (Det Norske Veritas-Bermanischer Lloyd) business assurance to produce CE Mark Plates for European market and has been exporting its products to different countries.

The state-of-art Mill produces wide range of plates with close tolerances to meet stringent international standards that find  applications in Boiler and Pressure Vessels, earth moving equipment, wagon building, railway projects, bridges and highways, nuclear power plants and urban infrastructure projects.

The steel plant has also bagged another order for exporting 10,000 tonne of plates to the European market.
