New Delhi: The Lok Sabha Secretariat has elevated Tirthankar Das, who hails from Balasore in Odisha, to the rank of Joint Secretary.
“The Speaker is pleased to appoint Tirthankar Das to the post of Joint Secretary in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix, with effect from December 12, 2025, until further orders,” read an official notification issued on December 16.
Prior to this promotion, Das served as a Director-level officer in the Secretariat, which provides critical administrative and procedural support to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament.
This elevation comes at a time when Parliament is undergoing organisational restructuring and upgradation across various wings to enhance operational efficiency and adapt to evolving legislative demands.
