Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has officially released the academic calendar for 2026-27 session, announcing that the registration process will begin on January 27, with the entrance examinations scheduled for May.
According to the official schedule, the registration for OJEE 2026 will open on January 27 and remain active till March 26. The entrance tests for various courses are slated to take place from May 11 to May 17.
The release of the OJEE 2026-27 academic calendar marks the beginning of Odisha’s admission season for professional courses. The exam continues to be a gateway to higher education in Odisha, offering opportunities across diverse fields from engineering and management to pharmacy and architecture.
Here are the key announcements:
- Application Window: Opens January 27 till March 26 on the official website (www.ojee.nic.in)
- Admit Cards: April 2026
- Exam Dates: To be held in the third week of May
- Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Declaration of Results: June 2026
- Courses Covered: MBA/PGDM, MCA, BPharma, MTech, MPharma, MArch, MPlan, BCAT, MSc and lateral entry programs
- Direct BTech Admissions: Based on JEE Main 2026 scores; OJEE will not conduct separate exams for regular BTech admissions
The exam will be conducted in multiple sessions across designated centres in Odisha and select locations outside the state. The syllabus and exam pattern will be released online along with the notification. Admit cards are expected to be available by late April, followed by results in June 2026, and counselling soon thereafter.
OJEE typically attracts over 50,000 candidates annually, with competition particularly intense for MBA, MCA and pharmacy courses. The inclusion of GI-tagged and specialised programmes in Odisha’s academic ecosystem has further boosted interest in state-level admissions.
By releasing the calendar early, the OJEE Committee aims to give aspirants sufficient time to prepare and plan their applications. The clarity on timelines will also also help institutions align their admission processes with national-level exams such as JEE Main and NEET.
