Prakruti Mishra Continues To Impress, This Time As ‘Bitti Businesswali’
Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: After hogging the limelight for her performance in ‘Hello Arsi’, Ollywood actress Prakruti Mishra is in the news again with the promo of &TV’s serial ‘Bitti Businesswali’ in which she plays the lead role, doing the rounds and her chirpy self winning hearts.
The serial is being produced under the banner of Village Boy Productions Pvt. Ltd. by renowned producer and writer Rakesh Paswan. Prakruti has been cast opposite television actor Abhishek Bajaj.
In the promo, she can seen challenging the generally mindset of the society, which wants women to stay confined to the four walls of house, making pickles. The term financial independence of women seems insignificant for men. However, it is not through words but deeds that she want to prove them wrong.
Prakruti bats for financial independence of women and feels it is responsibility of men to support their ideas and dreams. Even the homemakers are entitled to an allowance for doing household chores and taking care of the family.
“I am playing Bitti, the protagonist who leads the other woman of the family onto the right path. There is more to the character which I cannot reveal right now,” said Prakruti over phone from Mumbai.
After the big win for ‘Hello Arsi’, words of appreciation from Shekhar Kapur came as an added bonus for her. “I did not expect the film to win a national award. I am really excited to meet Shekhar Kapur,” she said.
Prakruti, however, is not new to the television domain, having earlier played a negative character in ‘Jai Kanheiya Lal Ki’ telecast on Star Bharat. “Though there are many Odia technicians in Mumbai, very few from the state have faced the camera. This is what motivated me to try my luck in the City of Dreams. I have been giving auditions and feel lucky to have got through in a few of them. My hard work is finally paying off,” said the young actress and daughter of Odia music director Manmath Mishra.
The serial will be telecast from May 13.
