Rayagada: A youth has been arrested here for allegedly damaging and burning pictures of Hindu deities and circulating a video of the same on social media..
He has been identified as Agasti Gareda, a native of Panchali village under Tikiri polie limits in the district.

In the video, Agasti and his associates can be seen worshipping Dr BR Ambedkar and later damaging pictures of Hindu deities.
The matter came to light when locals lodged a complaint on basis of which police arrested Agasti on Tuesday and started further investigation into the matter.
The police have also launched a manhunt to trace Agasti’s associates.
