One More Team Under Shah Rukh’s Knight Riders Franchise; What’s Unique About It?

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s Knight Riders franchise has a new entry.

This time, in a first, it’s a women’s team, and the Bollywood Badshah can’t wait to see live action.

“This is such a happy moment for all of us at @KKRiders @ADKRiders & of course the lovely set of people at @TKRiders.. Hope I can make it there to see this live!!” the delighted owner took to Twitter to express his excitement.

Shah Rukh already co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders, Trinidad Knight Riders, Los Angeles Knight Riders and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

The Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) is scheduled to begin in the West Indies on August 30.

Apart from the Trinidad Knight Riders women, two other teams have confirmed participation — Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors.

WCPL will be held simultaneously with the men’s CPL.

Shah Rukh, who co-owns the Knight Riders Group with actress Juhi Chawla, is set to return to the big screen with a bang.

Last seen in the 2018 release ‘Zero’, SRK’s next film will be Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Shah Rukh is also working on Atlee’s film ‘Jawan’ while he has Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ with Taapsee Pannu in the pipeline.
