Cuttack: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) launched an automation system on Wednesday to provide detailed information about examinations and results to students.
OPSC chairman Laxmi Charan Patnaik said the new OPSC responsive web portal www.opsc.gov.in will provide a platform to link all the examination conducting authorities with the OPSC to ensure seamless flow and exchange of information, frequently asked questions (FAQ), compliance and grievances.
The portal will upgrade the existing application management system and support the comprehensive selection management system (CSMS).
“This new automation system will considerably reduce the recruitment process time and enhance transparency, accountability and delivery time substantially. It has inbuilt audit and scrutiny system to ensure transparency and less interference from other agencies,” Patnaik told the media.
He also said that the CSMS will help job aspirants of Odisha to register their interests to apply for various posts in the state government. “Under this new system, a unique Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN) will be assigned to an applicant on first-time registration for a post and his/her personal data will be stored for making subsequent applications for other posts advertised by the Commission,” he pointed out.
Stating that the Commission will come up with a new mobile app to provide important CSMS functionalities to the stakeholders, Patnaik said several automated systems supporting the promotion and disciplinary concurrence and public grievances are in the final stage of completion.
