New Delhi: The Centre has released Rs 14.25 crore to Odisha’s Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected districts which are covered under Security Related Expenditure (SRE) scheme in 2020-21 financial year.

Stating this in a written reply to question in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said at present, 54 districts of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh are covered under SRE scheme since April 1, 2018. Prior to April-2018, 64 districts of these states were covered under the scheme, he added.
