Mumbai: Actress Deepika Padukone’s sister Anisha is reportedly set to marry Rohan Acharya, the great-grandson of Bimal Roy.
As Rohan’s sister Drisha Acharya is married to Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol, Anisha’s marriage to Rohan will connect the Padukone family with the Deols.
Anisha and Rohan have been dating for quite some time, as per a report in Deccan Chronicle.
If rumours are to be believed, Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh might have played cupid between the two.
“Ranveer Singh could well have played matchmaker. Ranveer’s parents and Sumit Acharya are very close. It’s a wonderful family, and Anisha and Rohan naturally clicked as they met over several gatherings,” a source said.
There has been no official announcement from the families yet, but according to sources, preparations for the wedding are already underway.
Anisha is Deepika’s younger sister and daughter of badminton legend Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone.
Anisha is a professional golfer, and the CEO of Live Love Laugh, Deepika’s mental-health foundation.
Rohan, on the other hand, is based in Dubai, and is the son of Sumit Acharya and Chimoo Acharya.
