Bhubaneswar: In an emotional and proud response to India’s strikes on terror hubs in Pakiastan and PoK, families of the Pahalgam terror attack victims on Wednesday hailed Operation Sindoor describing it as a moment of justice.

As emotional reactions poured from the families of those killed in the Pahalgam massacre after the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, family members of Odisha’s Prasat Satpathy, a victim of the terror attack on April 22, expressed their gratitude towards the Indian armed forces.

Prasant’s wife Priyadarshini Acharya expressed the hope that the resolute action taken by the armed forces would go a long way in curbing terrorism, which has no place in a civilised world. “My husband is no more and he won’t come back, but I hope these actions will prevent similar incidents,” she said.

“They took our loved ones on a Tuesday and we hit back on a Tuesday. You killed us by asking about our religion, we attacked you by saying our religion,” Priyadarshini told the media.

Expressing happiness over the action against terror hubs, she said, “I was wondering as to when the government would act against the terrorists, but I was sure the government would take the right step. I am very happy now.”

It may be recalled that Prasant, his wife Priyadarshini and their nine-year-old son from Balasore, were alighting from a ropeway in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir when terrorists struck. Prasant was killed in the terror attack.

Operation Sindoor was a precise military operation conducted by India against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK. The operation was a direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives.

“I appeal to the government not to step back until justice is served. I request everyone to support the government so that no one is scared when travelling to various places across India. Everyone’s life is important,” Priyadarshini added.

More than 80 terrorists have been eliminated in a series of overnight strikes carried out by Indian armed forces on terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), according to top security sources.

Operation Sindoor, as it’s being called, targeted nine facilities linked to banned terrorist outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen, to avenge the Pahalgam massacre on April 22 that led to the gunning down of 26 innocent civilians.
