New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ co-star Mahira Khan on Friday deleted her social media post condemning the Pahalgam terror attack just hours after sharing it.
On April 24, at around 9 pm, the Pakistani actress took to her Instagram stories and penned down a note calling the Pahalgam terror attack an act of “cowardice”.
“Violence anywhere in the world, in any shape or form is an act of mere cowardice. My condolences to all those affected by the attack in Pahalgam.. 💔 #pahalgamattack,” Mahira had posted.
Some hours later, on April 25 morning, Mahira deleted her post.
Pakistani actor Fawad Khan also condemned the attack on tourists and wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident, and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time.”
Pakistani actress Hania Aamir expressed her heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families.
“Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all of us. My heart is with the innocent lives affected by the recent events. In pain, in grief, and in hope—we are one,” Hania wrote.
“When innocent lives are lost, the pain is not theirs alone — it belongs to all of us. No matter where we come from, grief speaks the same language. May we choose humanity, always,” she added.
On April 22, armed militants open gunned down 26 people, mostly tourists, at the picturesque Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam.
The attack sent shock waves across the country, turning strained India-Pakistan relations even bitter.
