New Delhi: Rawalpindi has dismissed “allegations propagated by Indian media” accusing Pakistan of launching attacks on Pathankot, Jaisalmer and Srinagar.

Rejecting the “baseless and irresponsible” reports, a Pakistani Foreign Affairs Ministry statement said: “These claims are entirely unfounded, politically motivated and part of a reckless propaganda campaign aimed at maligning Pakistan.”

Interestingly, Jammu, which was the first city to face Pakistani missile threat on Thursday evening, was not mentioned by Pakistan.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said New Delhi’s accusations of Pakistan trying to carry out overnight strikes inside India was a “big lie”.

As per India’s official statement, the country suffered no losses after Pakistan tried to target military stations in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur.

“Military Stations of Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur in proximity to the International Boundary, in Jammu & Kashmir, targeted by Pakistan using missiles and drones. No losses. Threat neutralised by Indian Armed Forces as per SoP with kinetic & non-kinetic means,” the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff said in a post on X.
