Bhubaneswar: Paramita Satpathy Tripathy on Wednesday took charge as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (I-T) for Odisha.
She will succeed Manoranjan Panigrahy.
Paramita was among the 34 Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers empanelled in the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in March.
The 1989-batch IRS officer has held various posts in the Income Tax Department in Odisha. She also worked as Director of Finance in Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited (OPGC) for six years.
A noted writer, Paramita was conferred with Sahitya Akademi Award in 2016 for her short-story collection ‘Prapti’, which was published in 2012. She also won Sarala Award in 2021 for her literary works. She has authored seven short-story collections.
